Rustopak®ANTI-RUST JOINT SEALANT
(CLEAR) – 250 ml
Advantages
RUSTOPAK® ANTI-RUST JOINT SEALANT (CLEAR) – 250 ml is a joint sealant which protects multi metal joints against the formation of joint rust, where rust starts first. Seal installations such as solar panel, solar geyser, air conditioning, fences, carports, plumbing and roof sheeting overlaps. Seal vehicle chassis and internal panel surfaces. This product offers the most practical joint sealant solution due to ease of application in aerosol packaging with the extender tube inserted into the actuator to maximize the product’s penetrating ability.
Description
Metal exposed to moisture and oxygen will rust. The proprietary blended aerosol RUSTOPAK® ANTI-RUST JOINT SEALANT (CLEAR) is hydrophobic, expelling moisture and excludes oxygen from metal joints after application. The low VOC and UV stable RUSTOPAK® ANTI-RUST JOINT SEALANT (CLEAR) is sprayed into new and weathered joints over firmly adherent rust & coatings as a final application.
Applications
The air and surface temperature shall be less than 53° C and the weather conditions shall be such that the treated areas shall not be subjected to rain or water contact for a 4 hour period after application.
Ambient temperatures must remain at least 3⁰ C above Dew Point and rising during application. Material should not be applied when the Relative Humidity exceeds 90% or the substrate temperature is higher than 53⁰ C.
All surfaces must be clean, free of grease, oil, dust, loose or flaking particles and plant material. To remove loose particles from joints, use Mineral Turpentine only and do not use water as the product is hydrophobic. Use compressed air if needed. Surfaces must be totally dry before spraying.
Shake the can well before spraying. Insert the extender tube into the actuator, point the extender tube along the joint edge to be sealed and spray. Spray into the upper edge of all joints first, working down the sides of the joint from the top to the bottom, propelling the material into the joint. Moisture will be displaced from the joint (vertical) and should be allowed to exit freely from the bottom of the joint area then wiped off with clean cloth and Mineral Turpentine. NOTE: When spraying into horizontal joints, please ensure that excess product around the joint is wiped clean with clean cloth and Mineral Turpentine. Do not apply over Bitumous and Silicone coatings.
Turn can upside down and spray to clear the actuator and extender tube after use.
rustopak®ANTI-RUST SEALANT
(TINTED) – 250 ml
Advantages
RUSTOPAK® ANTI-RUST SEALANT (TINTED) – 250 ml is a sealant which protects metal against the formation of rust. Seal installations such as solar panel, solar geyser, air conditioning, fences, carports, plumbing and roof sheeting overlaps. Seal vehicle chassis and vehicle internal panel surfaces. This product offers the most practical rust sealant solution due to ease of application in aerosol packaging.
Description
Metal exposed to moisture and oxygen will rust. The proprietary blended aerosol RUSTOPAK® ANTI-RUST SEALANT (TINTED) is hydrophobic, expelling moisture and excludes oxygen from metal surfaces after application. The low VOC and UV stable RUSTOPAK® ANTI-RUST SEALANT (TINTED) is sprayed onto new and weathered surfaces over firmly adherent rust & coatings as a final application.
Applications
The air and surface temperature shall be less than 53° C and the weather conditions shall be such that the treated areas shall not be subjected to rain or water contact for a 4 hour period after application.

Shake the can well before spraying. Point the actuator towards the surface to be sealed and spray. Over-spray onto surrounding surfaces needs to be wiped off with clean cloth and Mineral Turpentine. Do not apply over Bitumous and Silicone coatings.
Turn can upside down and spray to clear the actuator after use.
Description
RUSTOPAK® CREVICE PENETRANT SEALANT is a crevice penetrant which protects metal crevices against the formation of Crevice Corrosion, where corrosion always starts first, such as roof fastener & truss assemblies, roof sheet overlaps, solar panel mountings, metal fence assemblies, foundation anchor bolts, window and door hinges and frames and plumbing. There are many other applications for RUSTOPAK® CREVICE PENETRANT SEALANT such as internal crevices of vehicle panels, HVAC systems, heavy equipment and solar farms. This product prevents the need to dismantle assets and offers the most practical solution on the market due to ease of application in aerosol packaging to maximize the product’s penetrating ability and sealing of crevices being treated.
The low viscosity crevice penetrating sealant is intended for use as a penetrating sealer for jointed or bolted areas of steel items mentioned above, which are subject to Pack Rust, Bimetallic Corrosion and Differential Aeration Corrosion. Apply into the affected area with the supplied pipe attached to the nozzle of the aerosol can and excess product needs to be wiped off with clean cloth and Mineral Turpentine.
Deposit enough RUSTOPAK® CREAVICE PENETRANT SEALANT to thoroughly wet out crevices or joints. Spray into the upper edge of all joints first, working down the sides of the joint from the top to the bottom, propelling the material into the joint. Moisture will be displaced from the joint (vertical) and should be allowed to exit freely from the bottom of the joint area then wipe off with clean cloth and Mineral Turpentine. NOTE: When spraying into horizontal joints, please ensure that excess product around the joint is wiped clean with clean cloth and Mineral Turpentine.
NOTE: Joint geometries vary widely, and it is not the intent of this Specification to address the application of each joint type. The end user must evaluate individual joint geometries to determine the best method of applying this product to achieve the optimal joint coverage using the basic principles listed above.
Health & Safety
RUSTOPAK® ANTI-RUST JOINT SEALANT (CLEAR) and RUSTOPAK® ANTI-RUST SEALANT (TINTED) are flammable and needs to be stored out of direct sunlight below 25⁰ C and off the ground.
Protect your skin and eyes and use in well ventilated areas. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest. Do not pierce the can.
